Oh, the pancake platter! It was an epic morning feast, fluffy and delicious. We also adored the spacious rooms with awesome lake views, perfect for a family getaway. The hotel’s mini van service into Groningen is a cherry on top!

Room cleaning was a tad sluggish. on one day, it was after 4pm! the disposable coffee cups weren’t my jam—I’d much rather have something reusable.

Comfortable room, delightful breakfast, and friendly staff made my stay enjoyable. I particularly loved the spacious room with a flat-screen TV and the indoor swimming pool was a great way to relax after daily explorations, with a convenient local bus stop just minutes away, providing direct access to the city center in only 15 minutes.

Unfortunately, the air conditioning was a bit problematic. it didn’t warm up even after being switched off. The wifi was disappointing—definitely not up to par for a hotel at this price point. To top it off, the cleanliness in the swimming pool often left something to be desired, which should definitely be addressed. And while the view was stunning, the cramped room could have used better furnishings and amenities for the money spent.

I loved the comfy beds and friendly service during my stay, and the beautiful views from the sixth floor just added to the charm of the experience, making it a perfect base for walking over to the stunning Paterswoldsemeer, which is only about 2.5 km away, and enjoying the peaceful ambiance of the nearby Groenestein Park, just a short stroll from the hotel.
